Red Bull summoned by the stewards for an alleged failure to follow grid instructions: the details
Max Verstappen dominated the Circuit of The Americas, securing pole position, the Sprint, and the race win: a flawless weekend for the reigning champion.
However, immediately after the race, the FIA stewards issued an official reprimand to the Oracle Red Bull Racing team.
According to FIA Document 55, the team allegedly failed to comply with Article 12.2.1.i of the FIA International Sporting Code, which concerns following the officials’ instructions during the grid start.
No direct penalties were applied to Verstappen, but the team representative (likely Laurent Mekies) was summoned at 16:30 to clarify the incident. The team may still face a fine.
