Lando Norris broke down in tears after his emotional victory at Silverstone — his first ever win on home soil.
The emotional hug with his mother, the joy, the pride in his eyes — Lando Norris wins the British Grand Prix, finally conquering the race that means the most to him.
Speaking to Sky Sport F1, he said: “This is a win to celebrate, no doubt. In some ways, it’s probably the biggest victory I could ever get — beyond a world championship. It’s part of the journey I’m on this year, and I place it at number 2 on my personal list.”
“Number 3 was Monaco — and we got that. Today we also achieved number 2. Now I’ll have some fun, celebrate with a friend of mine, and it’s going to be a big party. This win is a dream — a memory I’ll carry with pride forever. It was a special day for all of us.”
