Transfer market news continues ahead of the next MotoGP season: this time the spotlight is on the Japanese Trackhouse rider.
After the postponement of the fourth round of the season, which was supposed to take place in Qatar, MotoGP is currently on hold while waiting to head to Jerez for the continuation of the championship. However, transfer rumors keep circulating.
Ai Ogura to Yamaha
Aside from Marco Bezzecchi’s renewal with Aprilia and the confirmations of Zarco and Moreira in Team LCR, there are still no official announcements for 2027. Despite this, many rumors are emerging, the latest concerning the second rider for the factory Yamaha team. According to Motorsport.com, in a report by Oriol Puigdemont, Ai Ogura is expected to join Jorge Martín in the Iwata manufacturer’s team.
The Aprilia rider would therefore take the seat left by Alex Rins, while the Spaniard would fill the vacancy left by Fabio Quartararo, who is said to have chosen to join the other Japanese manufacturer.
