Lewis Hamilton’s words ignite the hopes of Ferrari fans ahead of the Monaco GP
The extraordinary weekend just spent in Canada has definitely re-ignited Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time World Champion, in his second year dressed in Ferrari colors, certainly experienced his best weekend since wearing red, securing an excellent second place.

Although the victory is still awaited, Lewis expressed his full satisfaction with the team and the work done at the start of this year. Yet, the possibility of returning to the top step of the podium, looking ahead to Monte Carlo, is more alive than ever.
Hamilton’s words ahead of Monaco
The missing horsepower is certainly the main concern for Ferrari. Many times at the start of this 2026 season, in fact, Hamilton (as well as Leclerc) has complained about the lack of power needed to try and battle with the frontrunners, especially in qualifying.

Despite the ADUO and the new engine (expected for the Austrian GP or at the latest in Belgium), Ferrari needs to return to winning ways and recover points as soon as possible. And thanks to a chassis that has been more than genuine so far, there seems to be no better opportunity than the next race in Monaco.
Interviewed post-race at the Canadian GP, Lewis touched upon the Monegasque weekend: “I mean, the Monte Carlo track is the only track where power isn’t everything.”

Then the words of the Englishman that fire up the Ferrari crowd: “I think car performance definitely matters there. I believe our car can be really, really strong on that circuit.“
And finally, a comparison with the rivals’ performance: “I can stay with them or keep pace in the corners, but I can’t press the pedal any more than that. And you just see them pull away on the straight, then you catch them under braking, and they pull away again on the straight. It’s really difficult “.
