Lewis Hamilton finished in 10th place in his first race with Ferrari, but the British driver has great faith in the SF-25.
It was far from a memorable debut for Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, with the seven-time world champion finishing the Melbourne race only in 10th place. Due to an SF-25 that was not up to par and a wrong strategy during the race, the British driver managed to secure only one point after surprisingly finding himself at the front of the race following a downpour in the final laps.

Hamilton himself commented on his race, focusing his attention on the strategy. These were his words: “It was a tough day. Being in those conditions for the first time in the rain, with this car and this power unit, managing all the steering wheel functions and the new communications with the engineers, it was a huge challenge. It’s a shame because I was hoping for something more. I hung on as long as I could, at one point we found ourselves in a position where we could fight for the podium by staying out, but then more rain came and the situation got worse.”
Regarding the worsening of the SF-25 from Friday to Sunday, Lewis made the following statements: “Worse performance than expected? No, we didn’t get the car into the window, but I don’t think the car is that far off. Even in qualifying, I don’t think we managed to extract the performance from the car.”
