A small storm may be brewing at Ferrari around Lewis Hamilton: even Nico Rosberg speaks out in support of his former rival and friend.
The sixth-place finish for Lewis Hamilton at the Spanish Grand Prix, behind the wheel of the Ferrari SF-25, left a bitter taste. Not only because of the result itself—far from the expectations for a seven-time world champion—but especially due to the final image.

Hamilton, visor down, motionless in parc fermé: and, judging by the footage and his gestures, it really seemed like a few tears might have fallen from the eyes of the legend from Stevenage.
Nico Rosberg’s Words
An image that inevitably made the rounds online in no time. Among those who commented was Nico Rosberg, his former teammate and rival during their time at Mercedes, who was a guest commentator for Sky Sports during the weekend. The German didn’t hide his concern:
“Seeing Lewis in that state hurts. Sunday was a difficult day for him—he was slow, and that’s very strange. Usually, it’s the opposite: he finds something extra in the race. But this time, it was the other way around.
As a driver, it’s hard to find answers. His situation is very critical”, Rosberg concluded.

Hamilton had outqualified Leclerc, but struggled from the first stint in the race, mismanaging his tyres and gradually losing ground. The final blow came on the last lap, when Nico Hülkenberg passed him in Turn 1 with the Sauber C45. Hamilton didn’t defend at all—he looked completely passive, unable to respond.
And that’s where the frustration started. The first signs of discontent from Ferrari fans are beginning to surface, with the tone growing increasingly critical: “Hamilton gave up too easily,” “he’s not fighting,” “this isn’t the Ferrari spirit.” The most frequent criticism? A lack of aggressiveness, especially in comparison with the recent past—including Sainz—which is starting to weigh heavily.
