In 2020, he lost the Moto2 title due to contracting COVID-19. In 2021, he achieved his first pole position in just his second MotoGP race, only to fracture his right-hand first metacarpal and right medial malleolus in the next race.
In 2022, he endured a season filled with challenges, despite securing five pole positions. In 2023, he fought for the championship for the first time in his career but was defeated by Pecco Bagnaia. In 2024, despite his stellar performance, Ducati decided to part ways with him, leading to his move to Aprilia.
It hasn’t been an easy road for Jorge. He fought tooth and nail against Bagnaia, faced duels with Marquez and Bastianini, and forged a character capable of becoming stronger and more relentless—a true “Martinator.” . Un “Martinator”.
