Max Verstappen spoke to journalists ahead of the Miami round, the fourth race of the Formula 1 World Championship.

Formula 1 restarts in Miami with slightly different regulations. Following disappointing feedback from the drivers, the Federation has decided, in agreement with the teams, to revise the rules, attempting to make informed and constructive changes. Miami will be the first test, but the general feeling is that what was decided about ten days ago is only a first step toward something more significant.

Max Verstappen is also convinced of this, and during his interview with journalists, he analyzed the decisions made by the FIA with these words. The Dutchman said: “These changes are a real thrill. I’m hopeful that next year we can introduce much bigger changes. . Ultimately, it’s a very political sport. I think everyone has done their best to do something, but it won’t change the world. The situation is complicated; it’s not yet what we need to really go full throttle. As I said, it’s difficult to get everyone to agree.”

Regarding his retirement, he added: “Nothing new on this front. I’ve been busy with other things in the last few weeks, but I still have time. Lambiase’s departure? It has nothing to do with it; I’ve already explained how things went. We have a very honest and open relationship, and everything went well. I wish him the best; there were no hard feelings. As a team, we’re looking forward. I believe it’s always important to innovate and improve, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
